Decorating

It's fun to work through all the stages of key-making but the decorating is the most fun! The basic parts of the key provide a root essence to the piece and the decoration gives it zip. I decided to add a blue jewel to this key. First I gave the stone a good cleaning in some jewelry cleaner:

Then I wiped it off with a cloth and glued it onto the centre of the key.

I found a blue bead and glued it onto the bottom of the key and then decided to add some blue seed beads to finish it off:

I used tweezers to position the seed beads. Once the key is dry I will coat it in an eco-friendly resin.
