Keys 854 - 855 (from Template 3)
It's been a busy couple of weeks but I'm finally back to making keys! I'm still working my way through the ten templates for this latest series of Ten Keys Ten Ways. I used standard sized quilling paper for Key 854. For much of the quilling I quilled two different coloured strips of paper together. Slowly my paper quilling skills are improving - have a look:
For Key 855 I cut my own strips. I prefer the wider quilling - the paper is easier to work with and I like the look of the finished key better than the standard sized ones. I work on these keys in stages and pin the paper into place while the glue dries. The template serves as a pattern for the quilling but I deviate from it. Things work better for me when I go a bit of my own way.
