One Man's Trash: Keys 2663 - 2670
I am so lucky to have people who gift me their no longer needed items…from jewellery to uniform supplies from Actionwear in Saskatoon. Here’s what I’ve made from their gifts:
One Side of Key 2663 is made from a tarnished silver medallion, the shaft of a Robertson screwdriver, a delicate gold chain, rhinestones, some metal pieces from Rose’s Auction, and other bits of jewellery.
the Other Side of Key 2663 has a beat up ivory stone, old chain, the back of a clip-on earring, and a shiny orange bead that is rather magical when moved in the light.
One Side of Key 2664 is made with an Owl pendant, a large silver hoop earring, a piece of curtain rod, a metal hair comb, and a variety of beads and other metal bits.
The Other Side of Key 2664 had more bits of jewellery, chain, rhinestones, metal bits, and an amber-ish glass crystal that is slightly smoothed out by the coating of resin covering it.
Key 2665 is made from three gold rings, a gold earring, the stem of a decorative gold spoon, some gold clasps and other gold metal bits. There is a small gold basket brooch with a red heart flower and green rhinestone leaves on One Side.
Key 2666 is made from a slot screwdriver, beads, silver hoop earrings, large silver rings from Rose’s Auction (no idea what they were originally used for), and metal slider things from Actionwear Saskatoon. There is a big blue pendant on One side, and more beads and a silver brooch on the Other Side.
Key 2677 took a long time…the top of One Side came together quickly and was made with two sparkly hoop earrings and one older plastic earring. The shaft is part of an antenna and the end has two lovely pieces of abalone shell in silver. The Other Side has sparkly rhinestones, seed beads, and the top of a Christmas ornament. I did not work carefully enough with the resin and had to redo it many times!
Key 2668 is made from resin, a Robertson screw driver, a silver hoop earring with chains, and One Side a silver flower bracelet, sparkly purple brooch, part of a cross, and some rhinestones. The Other Side has silver feathers, locks, a butterfly charm, and a small magenta bead.
Key 2669 is made from a metal picture frame, a fancy brooch with a red stone, rhinestones, and other jewellery bits.
Key 2670 is made with another piece of that antenna from key 2667, a necklace, some earrings, a thumbtack, and a bead.
